Back to school and Dr. Who!

My little girl started first grade last week. She was SOOOO exited! So we figured we better do some nails to celebrate.
So we decided on a fun red apple theme.
For my nails, I used Gelish Hot Rod Red, and TruGel Marshmallow.
for hers I had a regular polish red that was pretty close and a regular white as well. mine are gelpolish, hers are just nail polish but I think they match pretty well anyway.

And here is another back to school design. I LOVE how this one turned out! But which is your favorite, the notebook paper? Chalk board? Apple? Ruler?

For this, I used Gelish Hot Rod Red, Gelish Black Shadow, TruGel Marshmallow, and ASP Sparkler. For the art work I used all gelpolish in whatever colors I could find.

Aren't they adorable???

Dr. Who Nails!!!
You may not be able to tell, but yes, that is a time vortex you're seeing.
With a mini Tardis.
I used, Gelish After Dark, Gelish Ocean Wave, Gelish Arctic Freeze and Gelish Casmere Kind of Gal. to create the time vortex, I used a tutorial for tie dye nails that seemed pretty close.

For this last manicure I took a million pictures and they all turned out so pretty that I just had to post them all.
And also, THAT RING!!!
So Pretty!!!
For this Manicure, I used Gelish Gossip Girl (favorite color!) and then a touch of Gelish Pink Smoothie and Gelish Artic Freeze.

July is coming...are you ready???

 We are!!!

And there's still time to come get your nails done before the holiday weekend.
Come over!

I've been doing a bunch of Independence Day Nails lately. They're so fun!
Here's the first one:

Nautical Nails!!!
I'm not the best hand painter, but these were super fun to do!
Thanks to lovely Andrea, for sharing her hands with me for a couple hours!
I used: Gelish Arctic Freeze and Finger Paints Modern Motif. Thats it!

This is what I'm wearing right now and I'm loving them! I've been wanting to try this mani for a while now and I can definitely say I'll be doing this one again!
Just don't look too closely at my right hand flowers as they look less like flowers and more like stuff I studied in biology class.
I used: TruGel Marshmallow, Red Carpet Love Those Baby Blues, Gelish Hot Rod Red and Gelish After Dark. And a dotting tool.

Flag Nails!
Whats more patriotic than stars and stripes? I love how this one turned out. And it wasn't really all that much nail art either!
How pretty is this picture? Two of my favorite things, nail art and glassybaby
I used: TruGel Marshmallow, Gelish Hot Rod Red and Gelish After Dark.

Little Girl Mani/Pedi!

This is my little girl. She's pretty happy with herself!

My little boy, not so happy.

And finally, my sparkly red white and blue fingers and toes.
A pretty simple Mani/Pedi. The only fun thing here is the glitter fade, which is always a hit.
I used: Gelish Hot Rod Red, Gelish After Dark, Gelish Night Shimmer, Gelish Waterfield and TruGel Marshmallow.

Thanks for Reading,

See you Monday!

Roses!!!

Spring is here! for me that means FLOWERS FLOWERS and more FLOWERS!!!
So of course I can't help but paint flowers on pretty much every manicure I do these days.
This Mani Monday post is devoted to hand painted roses and all the fun things you an use them for.
On all of these manis, I do a complete gel polish mani with top coat then wipe the sticky residue off with alcohol. After that I paint the roses using regular polishes, then cure another coat of gel top coat.

Here are some different views of my latest work of art. Red roses on an electric blue background.

For this mani, I first used Gelish's Ocean Wave on all the nails and finished it off with Top it Off. I could have left the mani there (and it would have been lovely) but I had some time so I then used regular nail polishes in various shades of red to paint the roses on three fingers of each hand. After the roses were dry, I covered them with another coat of Top it Off and called it a day!

For this manicure, I used Gelish's Gossip Girl (my favorite hot pink!) and ASP's Blue Crush for the accent nails. After that I used various pink polishes and some green leaves. I loved how this one turned out!

Polka Dots and Roses! I painted the nails with Gelish's Arctic Freeze and Cashmere Kind of Gal then used those same gel colors to hand paint the polka dots.

My final rose mani is inspired by Romeo and Juliet and I was trying to make it look lovely and dramatic and romantic and everything that Rom and Jules is.
Before I added the roses, I stamped the pretty gold lattice to add extra romance. Plus I'm kinda in love with the wedding and broken heart nails.

Want to try hand painted rose nails for yourself yet? Check out this great tutorial I found on Pinterest. Trust me, you're going to love it!
